The body of the gold case has two bands of foliate engraving and a swivel pendant. D. Double-body, "bassine fermee" with curved-in edge, entirely enamelled with scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary and the Christ Child, from engravings after Simon Vouet (1590 ? 1649) depicting the Holy Family after their return from Egypt, when they stayed with Elizabeth, a cousin of the Virgin, and her young son St. John the Baptist. Elizabeth, known as an elderly mother, holds Saint John who has a cross made of reeds and who points to a small bird which has been tethered by the mother of Jesus. Jesus watches the bird and Saint Joseph stands behind with a book. The theme continues on the cover, with Saint Joseph consulting a book with the words of the prophets and what they foretold. Gold enamelled pendant. D. Silver, with champlevé Roman chapters and inner quarter-hour ring, centre chased and engraved with a floral design. Blued-steel ?tulip? hand. The front with two fine panels, the top with painted enamel of a fruit basket, the bottom with floral engraving interlocked with translucent red and blue enamels. The bottom hinged and spring-loaded to reveal the dials when a small push-piece at the side is pressed. On the back: at the top an enamel of a vase with flowers, at the bottom an engraved vase against blue enamel background over a backgound engraved to imitate engine-turning. Border in alternating azure and white enamels in a geometrical pattern, the sides in a classical style with translucent red, blue, and green enamel. The screwed enameled cap reveals a small stick for perfume application. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, dot minute indicators, blued-steel "spade" hands, above a separate white enamel dial for small seconds. M. Exceptional and extremely rare pair of 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set, combined watch and perfume sprinkler, in the form of flintlock pistols, with original matching gold and enamel pistol-shaped winding keys. Accompanied by a Chinese fitted box. To be sold without reserve.

C. The grips of translucent scarlet enamel over guilloché grounds decorated with small gold rosettes on black champlevé enamel with gold flowers, the borders set with half pearls. Gold plates, finely chased with a dog on one side and a stag on the other, framed with half pearls. The barrels of cobalt blue translucent champlevé enamel over guilloché grounds, with a raised gold scroll design simulating damascene work. The perfume is released through the pistils of gold lotus flowers with enamelled petals, which are shot out of the barrel. The act of cocking the hammer winds the mechanism, also lowering the trigger. The watch is concealed in the end of the butt, the springloaded front and back covers with half pearl-set borders, decorated with guilloché rosettes and centered with half pearls. D.
