Four-body, "Empire", engine-turned with polished borders, reeded band, bolt at 2 o`clock to lock the repeat and at 6 for the music. Hinged gilt brass cuvette with apertures for winding and hand-setting. Gold, engine-turned, radial Roman numerals on enamel cartouche, outer minute divisions on enamel. Blued steel Breguet hands. 51 mm.(22```), gilt brass two-train, with standing barrel for the going train, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm balance, flat balance spring, polished steel endplate, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant. Sur plateau musical movement with 29 tuned steel vibrating blades acting on both sides of the pinned disc, music/silence lever at the edge of the cuvette beneath the back cover. Safety action is provided by a gold dart and a steel roller with a rectangular slot to allow the dart to pass at the appropriate moment. Arnold "double-S" type balance built on a gilt brass four-am wheel, the bimetallic "S" pieces are each held by two rivets to a blued steel hollow lenticular-shaped frame secured to the balance wheel itself by two screws, the free end of each "S" piece cannes a threaded rod and a gold quarter nut for poising and mean tune adjustnnent, two additional gold quarter screws are fitted in slotted brackets.
