AUDEMARS PIGUET ROYAL OAK CHRONOGRAPH FOR THE SULTANATE OF OMAN PINK GOLD Audemars Piguet, "Royal Oak - Automatic", movement No. 735389, case No. G 97261 - 2865, Ref 25960OR. Made for the Sultanate of Oman, circa 2011. Very fine and extremely rare, large, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K pink gold wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, date and an 18K pink gold Audemars Piguet bracelet with deployant clasp. Accompanied by the original Audemars Piguet fitted box emblazoned with the Omani khanjar national emblem, hang-tag, Certificate of Origin and instruction manual.

Three-body, polished and brushed, octagonal bezel with 8 hexagonal white gold screws, case back with 8 screws and engraved with the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman, screwed-down hexagonal winding-crown and nuts for the chronograph buttons, sapphire crystal. Gray, "clous-de-Paris" decoration with applied luminous pink gold indexes, outer minute/seconds divisions, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 30-minute and 12-hour registers, aperture for the date between 4 and 5. Luminous pink gold baton hands. Cal. 2385, rhodium-plated, oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 37 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, 21K gold rotor.

In "as new" condition, this very attractive model retains the original tag and the box emblazoned with the khanjar national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman . From our research, it would appear that this is the first example of the reference 25960OR for the Sultanate of Oman to be offered at auction.
