Notes

While its big sister was launched in 1972 with its perfect design by Gerald Genta, the lady version was produced a few years later by Jacqueline Dimier in 1976. While the 5402 at its launch cost an eyewatering CHF 3'750, its counterpart also came priced at a hefty CHF 2'980. Unlike many later versions that were equipped with quartz movement, this self-winding version was sold in 1976 (confirmed on the original warranty), making it one of the earliest of all stainless steel mini Royal Oak ever to appear at auction.
