Notes

The counter-enamel is inscribed "9796 / S". This watch can be attributed to Henry Onésime Stauffer from Les Ponts-de-Martel (LeLocle district, Neuchâtel canton) who was specialised in the realisation of watch movements with special design, especially one with the number 1776, the year of American independence. He granted for this one the American design patent No. 12926, delivered on May 9, 1882, for a "Design for a Watch-Movement".
