While developing the line of their racing chronographs, it is more than likely that Heuer was experimenting with various colours of the time (some of the more popular commercialized examples featured red, blue, orange markers) and obviously orange was a hit with the Orange boy, this orange “Orange” boy was probably an experimental dial that was never commercialized.
