Notes

l, Jacques Daniel
Jacques-Daniel Fol comes from a family of watchmakers from Feigères, a commune of Péron, Pays de Gex, France (Ain), a region bordering Geneva. At the end of the 17th century, Antoine Fol and Jean-François Fol were the founders of this dynasty which lasted until the middle of the 19th century. Very quickly in the 18th century, this family is established and works in Geneva. The portrait painted on enamel on gold housed in this watch is probably that of JacquesDaniel Fol.
