?The Two Cockerels? Le Roy & Fils, Horlogers du Roi, a Paris, No. 16697. Made circa 1830. Fine and rare, thin, 18K gold and enamel ?digital? pocket watch with regulator type dial.

C. Four-body, cast and chased shell, flower and scroll bezel, pendant and bow, hinged and sprung back cover decorated with black enamel and chased gold foliage and flowers, the centre with two cockerels, border decorated to match the bezel. Hinged gold cuvette. D. Silver, polished chapter ring for the seconds with one second divisions and Arabic ten second numerals, frosted engine turned centre, apertures for the hours and minutes with Arabic numerals. Blued steel seconds hand. M. 33mm., frosted gilt, six jewels, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, flat blued steel balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette signed. Diam. 40 mm.
