James Hubert, London, No. 657, made for the Dutch Market, circa 1750. Very fine 22 ct. gold mounted agate watch, in tortoiseshell protecting case.

C. Double body "oignon", the gold bezel polished, the back of polished carneol with diamond-set push-piece. Outer double body gilt brass, tortoiseshell veneered cover and back. D. Gold champleve with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring with arched divisions. Blued steel "poker and beetle" hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with square baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English cock with diamond end-stone. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 35 mm.
