Lapierre In Wien, circa 1800. Very fine and extremely rare, 18 ct. gold skeleton watch with shaped movement.

C. Double body Empire with reeded band and glazed back. D. Small eccentric white enamel with Breguet numerals (slightly restored on the winding hole border). Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Half skeletonised inverted gilt brass full plate designed as a peasant carrying the dial on a wheelbarrow, the irregular back plate pierced and engraved with scrolled foliage, cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, the gilt brass three-arm balance with flat balance spring simulating the wheelbarrow's single wheel. Signature on the front and reverse of the front plate. h1 very good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
