Three body massive "Empire" case with engine turned back. GiIt brass cuvette engraved with the principal technical features. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. Fine gilt brass 24- three quarter plate movement with conical pillars, very similar to that used by Frederic Houriet for their pocket chronometers with or without a tourbillon regulator, the fusee with maintaining power, the barrel passing through the back plate, secured by a bridge, gold train of wheels, 13 jewels, spring detent escapement, Z bimetallic balance with trapezoïdal sliding weights and poising screws, blued steel spherical balance spring. Signed on the dial and the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 62 mm. This chronometer incorporate many features such as the caliber, the spherical balance spring and the spring detent escapement,of the pieces produced by Frederic Houriet.
