F. Laidrich, Concise, Switzerland, made for the Chinese market, circa 1885.Very fine, gilt brass and enamel, hour and half-hour striking, center-seconds, alarm carriage clock with hour repeat.

C. oval, glazed on all sides, four columns decorated in champlevé enamel of geometrical patterns, base and top applied with floral and butterfly champlevé enamel appliqués, brass handle at the top. D. rectangular, white enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, Arabic alarm chapter set at the lower part. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. rectangular, 101 x 72 mm, brass, triple train, going barrels, lateral counterpoised lever escapement, bimetallic balance with flat balance spring, rack strikng on a bell, separate bell for the alarm, repeating activated via small pushbutton at the top front of the case. Signed on the movement in Chinese characters.Dim. height 150 x 110.
