Notes

The successor to the famed reference 96 Calatrava, the reference 570 was its oversize sister reference. Launched in 1938, this reference came in a variety of dial configuration, the black dial being its rarest by far. Never having appeared on the market before and having recently been discovered in Germany and its black dial confirmed by the extract from the archives, it is fair to see that it is one of the most spectacular examples to have appeared on the market in the last 20 years. In fact only a couple of yellow gold 570's with black dial and subsidiary seconds have ever appeared on the market and this is the only known example so far featuring a full outer minute track making it one of the most coveted time only Patek Philippe's ever produced.

Provenance

Property of the original German family
