Notes

Rolex 1680 Red Submariner MK2
Officially introduced in 1969, the Rolex Ref. 1680 is the first Submariner featuring a date window. The current reference (so called ‘Single Red’) was produced from 1969 to 1975 in six executions (6 Marks, or MK), and only a very limited number of fading tropical dials were found during MK2 or MK3. It should also be noted that those from MK2 are even rarer.
This example is from MK2. It features a nice tropical brown dial, warm yellow indexes and hands, and a case of sharp edges which proves its original condition, and is therefore a piece that all Rolex enthusiasts don’t want to miss.
