The present lot is an exceptional enamel painting clock, movement signed by Samuel Marti, made around 1900. It features a Cloisonné gilt brass case, and is decorated with three exquisite Angels and Young Ladies enamel painting scene, and one of these painting (front) has a "LeFranc" signature. The clock dial is also enamel painted with angels and floral pattern, with Arabic numerals hour markers. This example shares a similar design with an enamel clock (no. 154) in the Clocks & Watches Gallery of Forbidden City.
