Not signed, attributed to Moulinié, Bautte & Cie, Geneva, made for the Chinese market, circa 1810. Very fine and rare 18 ct. gold and enamel, pearl and diamond-set, coinbined watch and perfume sprinkler in foret of a pistol.

C. The grip of translucent scarlet enamel over engine-turning with split-petrls set borders, the watch concealed on the end of the butt, the cover with rose-diamond set border, chased with decoration and centred with an emerald. Diamond-set back centred with an opal cabochon. Gold plates, finely chased with a dog on one face, a rabbit on the reverse and framed with rosediamonds. The barrel of cobalt blue translucent enamel over engine-turning, decorated with paillonne scroll design simulating damascene work. The perfume is spread out through the pistils of a gold lotus flower with enamelled petals, which is shot out of the barrel, released by the percussion of the diamond-set hammer when the trigger is depressed. Moulinié, Bautte & Cie., Ginevra, realizzato per il mercato Cinese, verso il 1806. Raro ed importante orologio in forma di pistola ad acciarino, con vaporizzatore di profumo, in oro 18 ct., smalto e perle fini, completo di astuccio originale in marocchino.

C. massiccia, interamente decorata di smalto rosso translucido su "guilloché" e smalto blu cobalto damascato da "paillon" d'oro e orlata di perle fini incastonate. Un coperchio decorato di smalto rosso e circondato di perle, copre il quadrante dell'orologio in smalto bianco con cifre romane. Armando il cane della pistola, in oro cesellato, il grilletto esce dall'apposito alloggiamento, dove si trova la firma. Premendolo si libera il meccanismo che scatta verso la canna ottagonale e, istantaneamente, un flore di loto con corolla di petali smaltati, appare aprendosi e lasciando vaporizzare i, dai pistilli, il profumo in esso contenuto. Due piccole piastre in oro, poste simmetricamente ai lati, e contornate di perle, incise raffiguranti una lepre ed un cane. Q. in smalto bianco con numeri romani. Lancette " Poire " in acciaio brunito. M. a gabbia in ottone dorato, pilastrini cilindirici, conoide con catena, scappamento a verga, bilancere in ottone a tre bracci.
