Solar-Powered Clock Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 874362, case No. 1988, Ref. 1161. Made circa 1965. Fine, rectangular, gilt brass, solar-powered clock with electrically- wound remontoir.
C. Brushed gilt brass, palisander panels, four square columns, top with solar cells, hinged back door. D. Palisander with applied faceted gilt brass baton indexes. Gilt brass baton hands. M. Cal. based on a 17''' ?Gondolo? keyless mechanical movement, 29 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold and 1 position, solar-powered with lithium battery back-up, driving a remontoir train which replaces the barrel spring. Dial and movement signed. Dim. height 14.2 cm., width 20 cm., depth 9 cm.
