Extremely fine and very rare, gilt-brass, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking and repeating carriage clock with Limoges School Revival painted on enamel panels in the Renaissance style. The case in gilt-brass, anglaise riche, with Corinthian columns and dentilled cornice, beveled glass aperture in the top for viewing the escapement, hinged handle, each side set with a very finely polychrome painted on enamel and gold paillon Limoges School Revival panel depicting a gentleman and a woman in Renaissance costume, detachable back door with shuttered winding holes, button for the repeating on the top. Dial very finely polychrome painted on enamel and gold paillon Limoges School Revival panel depicting a guard in front of a castle in Renaissance costume.
