RARE COMBINED 12-HOUR AND 24-HOUR DUAL TIME ZONE POCKET WATCH WITH CONTINUOUS AND STOPPABLE SPLIT-CENTER SECONDS SIX HANDS FROM THE CENTER PINK GOLD Swiss, case No. 60049. Made circa 1890. Very fine, extremely rare and unusual, two-time-zone, heavy 18K pink gold, keyless pocket watch with independently adjustable 12-hour and 24-hour concentric dials, continuous and stoppable center split-seconds without return-to-zero and six hands from the center.

Four-body, bassine et filets, polished, two protected buttons flanking the crown for the independent setting of both time zones, button in the band at 12 for the stop and rejoin of the chronograph hand to the center-seconds. Hinged gold cuvette. Two-piece, white enamel with inner radial Roman numerals for the 12-hour dial, outer minute track, outer 24-hour ring and outermost chronograph track calibrated to 300 units. Blued steel spade hands for the 12-hours, gold spade hands for the 24-hours and blued steel chronograph hands. 19''', matte gilt, three-quarter plate, jeweled to the center with screwed gold chatons, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator. Case numbered.

Made circa 1900. Extremely fine and very rare, trip minute-repeating, 18K gold, painted on enamel and diamond-set keyless, two-train, carillon grande sonnerie clockwatch with three hammers and three gongs. Accompanied by the original manuscript letter to Signor Luigi Scuotto, a Neopolitan arms maker from the Secretary of the King dated Rome, 23rd March, 1894 and by original King Umberto I fitted box.

Four body, bassine, matte, the hinged and sprung front cover with the champlevé enameled diamond-set coat of arms of Umberto I, King of Italy. Hinged gold cuvette engraved Grand Prix Paris 1900. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Gold Spade hands. 20"', matte gilt, double train with differential winding, 23 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator, striking the hours and quarters on three gongs with three hammers, centrifugal governor between the dial and dial plate, Silence/Sonnerie selection lever protruding from the bezel, repeating activated by a trip push-piece in the band and by original King Umberto I fitted box.

ILBERY LARGE CHINESE MARKET WATCH "A GRAND VIEW OF THE SEA SHORE" GOLD AND ENAMEL Ilbery, London, No. 5889, the enamel in the manner of Claude Vernet (1714-1789), attributed to Jean-Louis Richter (1766-1841), Geneva. Made for the Chinese market, circa 1820. Extremely fine and very rare, large, 18K gold, champlevé and painted on enamel pocket watch with duplex escapement.

Two-body, "Empire", the hinged back cover decorated with a very finely painted on enamel view in the manner of Claude Vernet of sheep and cattle drovers in a boat and in the foreground in a calm harbor landscape with ships and mountains in the distance, bezel, border, band, pendant and bow decorated with red, blue and white champlevé enamel repeated patterns, inner serpentine cover edges similarly decorated. Hinged and sprung gold cuvette attached to the movement ring and decorated with a blue and white champlevé enamel geometric pattern. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, large subsidiary seconds. Gold heart hands. 51 mm., frosted gilt, finely foliate engraved, standing barrel, duplex escapement, large flat-rim five-arm polished steel balance, index regulator. Movement signed, case with partial English marks for 18K gold.

MOSER & CIE CHINESE MARKET WATCH "APOLLO'S EMBRACE" GOLD & ENAMEL Henri Moser & Cie, (Geneva), No. 46226, the enamel attributed to Jean- François-Victor Dupont (1785-1863). Made for the Chinese market, circa 1820. Extremely fine and extremely rare, center-seconds, 18K gold, champlevé and painted on enamel pocket watch with duplex escapement.

Two-body, Empire, the bezel decorated with translucent Royal blue enamel lappets, pale green enamel and engraved gold pattern between, pendant and bow similarly decorated, the hinged and sprung back cover set with a very finely painted on enamel scene of Apollo embracing his lover in a classical interior, his lyre over his shoulder, outer border decorated to match the bezel. Hinged and sprung gold cuvette fixed to the movement ring. White enamel with radial narrow Roman numerals, outer minute and seconds divisions with Arabic 15-minute numerals. Blued steel ovoid hands. 47 mm., entirely foliate engraved gilt Chinese caliber, standing barrel, jeweled to the center wheel, duplex escapement, three-arm balance with blued steel wings, flat balance spring, index regulator.
