Fine and unusual compressed horn musical box with concealed erotic automaton scene. The case made in double body rectangular, the lid decorated with soldiers defending a seaport and further decoration in an engineturned pattern. Disclosed by the lid and driven by the musical train, repousse silver gilt automaton scene of coitus pastorales within a gilt brass frame.
Movement inverted with fly regulator, a 65 mm. pin cylinder and a comb of 13 groups of 5 teeth, driving the automaton movements by means of cams and levers.

This watch movement is of very high quality and would have been intended for a large and heavy gold huntingcase. It is possible that due to its unusual nature it was never sold and never left the Swiss manufacturer as a complete watch but simply put in what might be termed a ‘’working case’’.
