When launched in 2008, the repetition minute by Journe was, at the time, the thinnest minute repeater available on the market. Coming in at 8.65 mm. the stainless steel case was chosen for its better acoustics similar to his Grande and Petite Sonnerie model (for this model see Antiquorum Monaco, lot 106, January 2018) and another key feature was his use of flat hammers and gongs, rather than the steel wires found on traditional minute repeaters.
