Unsigned Baroque three-piece travelling cutlery set with its leather case; wrought-iron and steel, silver and leather

Travelling set made for luncheon or dinner, with three table folding cutlery, made of wrought-iron and of steel engraved, burnished and damascened with gold and silver (partially erased)

Composed of three utensils, table cutlery:
· a wrought iron knife, with folding blade, gold and silver damascened (wear and tear);
· a folding silver soup spoon, gold and silver damascene handle;
· a folding three-pronged meat fork, gold and silver damascene handle.

The knife and fork have a spring, while the spoon has a ring locking system. They are stored in a red leather case decorated with gilded flowers, with vellum compartments.

Title hallmarks of the silver. Hallmark on the blade of the knife. Knife engraved “vivat Carls Baad 1794” (viva Karlsbad, 1794). Fork engraved “L’amitié en fait le prix” (Friendship is the price of it). Spoon engraved “Souvenir de Cãrlsbad” (Remembering Karlsbad).
