Very rare and unusual extra large gilt brass experimental exhibition watch, in original mahogany fitted box. C. Three body Empire, with glazed back. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. GiIt brass Louis XV hands. M. Brass, bar caliber with going barrel, very unusual type of lever escapement: in form of ellipse, the lever is set with two pins, locked by a kind of virgule, the impulse is given by a finger on the inner edge of the ellipse. Plain brass three armed balance, flat balance spring. Signed and dated on the dial. In very good condition. Diam. 75 mm.

GiIt brass, unusual Lepine type caliber with going barrel, cylinder escapement with gilt brass 'scape wheel and plain three armed balance, flat balance spring and diamond endstone. The barrel is set with a wheel, gearing with another fixed on the center of the back in such a way the watch can be wound by revolving the back.
