Silver gilt protecting case, the cover chased and pierced with the arms of France and entwined scrollwork, the interior engraved with the monogram "C". D. M. 21"', gilt brass double train, with gold wheels, 39 jewels, two barrels with differential winding, spring detent escapement, two-arm compensation bimetallic balance, free-sprung blued steel helical balance spring with terminal curves. Side and front porcelain panels decorated in the Renaissance style, with the coat-of-arms of the Duke of Bordeaux below the dial, portraits of Henri IV and Marie de Medicis, on the base, side panels bearing the mottos: Vcnite adorea in loco. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer red Arabic date ring and inner days of the week indication marked in red with their corresponding planetary symbols. Gilt brass pierced "fleur-de-lys" hands. M. Circular brass full plate, double train, with cylindrical pillars and going barrels for both the going and the striking trains.
