Three piece with loose ring pendant and button finial, the ribbed centre section with applied silver band engraved with flowers and foliage, hinged cover fully engraved with foliage and pierced with trefoil pattern displaying the numerals, the hinged back similarly pierced and engraved. D. Gilt brass dial plate engraved with a winged angel and foliage; the applied silver chapter ring with Roman numerals for I - XII and Arabic 13 - Z4, centre engraved with a winged angel, flowers and foliage. Single blued-steel hand. M. Oval gilt full plate secured by dog screws, turned pillars, fixed barrel for both going and striking trains, the going train with stackfreed, verge escapement, dumb-bell foliot and blued steel cock with hog's bristle regulator. Gold, chased and engraved with a scene depicting Kronos in a barge, driven by Cupid, semicircular aperture on the upper part, the time is pointed by the hours, revolving in front of an enamel minute sector. M. fine gilt brass and blued steel, full plate, the blued steel back plate partly skeletonized to disclose part of the gold train of wheels, the going barrel with a gilt brass cover, pierced and engraved with scrolls, and the cylinder escapement with plain gold three-arm balance, polished steel bridge with ruby end-stone, flat balance spring. Repeating by depressing the pendant, with visible polished steel repeating work and blued steel gongs, partly gilt, in form of serpents. Signed on the dial. In very good condition.

The enamel panel of the lid finely painted with a scene depicting "Venus at Amour", flanked on the left and on the lid of the watch compartment on the right, by blue and red enamelled guilloche urns within gold chased niche shaped frames with further floral decoration (left and back panels slightly restored). D. Gold engine-turned with Roman numerals on a polished chapter ring. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Singing bird movement: Rectangular full plate with turned pillars, fusee and chain, cylindrical bellow, the multi-coloured feathered bird with moving wings, tail, beak and turning head, controlled by a stack of 6 cams.
