Double body, gilt bronze, designed as a monstrance, the base with chased decoration in a Renaissance pattern, the three feet in the form of horse heads, gilt-bronze bezel with chased decoration, the back with cast and chased openwork inhabited foliage in a Renaissance pattern, classical urn at the top. D. Later custom made silver chapter ring with Roman numerals and "fleurs de lys" halfhour divisions, the original central silver alarm setting disc with Arabic numerals and champlcve decoration of flower and birds. Later steel single hand. M. Hinged gilt-brass full plate with square pillars, the going train gilt-brass fixed barrels with revolving arbor and engraved with foliage decoration, stackfree regulator (lacking) verge escapement, later balance and later cock. Striking and alarm trains both with gilt-brass fixed barrels with revolving arbors and engraved with foliage decoration, count wheel sunk in the back plate, striking on a bell. Signed by the punched mark "H.G." on the back plated, associated with crossed spades. Dim. 23 x 12 cm.

Attributable to the Funk workshop in Bern, Swiss, circa 1760. Very rare and unusual both nocturnal and diurnal clock.

C. Mounted a stem on an ebonised pear wood octagonal moulded base, the movement is fitted in an iron cage supporting the oil lamp. D. Brass nocturnal chapter ring with skeletonised Roman numerals, revolving against the oval iron dial plate below the pointer pierced on the outer diurnal Roman chapter ring fixed on the dial plate as well. Iron pointer fixed on chapter "XII" of the nocturnal ring. M. Rectangular with iron plates and brass turned pillars, going barrel, verge escapement, short pendulum with silk suspension. Dim. 50 x 27 cm.

German, circa 1650. Fine gilt-bronze quarter-striking, moon phase astronomical clock with alarm.

C. Architectural, designed as a tower, the bells fitted on the top within the dome and visible through the galleries enhanced by finials, the alarm bell in the square stepped base. Side panels with square tapered columns and glazed arched apertures. D. Silver hours Roman chapter ring on the front face with inner Arabic ring for hours from 13 to 24, engraved in the German way with "Z" in place of "2", concentric date ring and central alarm setting disc with circular moon phase aperture. Subsidiary small silver dial below for quarter-striking selection, the centres with champleve bird and flowers. Blued-steel hands. Two small silver subsidiary dials on the rear face for hour and quarter striking adjustments, their centres decorated with champleve birds and flowers. Steel hands. M. Brass posted frame with square pillars, the going train with fusee and chain, verge escapement with brass two-arm balance without spring and hog bristle regulator. C. Three body oval with gilt-brass pendant, finials and hinges, with overlaid silver panels entirely engraved. The cover with a scene featuring Venus and Adonis framed within a frieze of foliage inhabited by a winged angel, chimeras and rabbits at the base. The back decorated ensuite, the mythological scene depicting Leandre and Hera. The silver band around the frame of the watch engraved with flowers, foliage and rabbits. All the silver panels are enclosed by edges of gilt metal. The inside of the lid and the back, each lightly engraved with an oval wreath of laurel. D. Giltbrass with Roman chapter ring, finely engraved with foliage, a figure of Venus above the dial, a figure of Leda with the swan below, while in the centre of the dial ring is a landscape with houses.
