Triple body case, the back "repoussé" with a wind rose, stars and flower garlands. Gold engine turned chapter ring with Roman numerals allowing to see the striking work applied on the gilt metal front plate, finely engraved with scrolls and foliage. Blued steel Breguet hands. Full plate movement the back plate with a finely engraved bridge maintaining the fusee and the barrel, cylindrical pillars, verge escapement, three armed plain brass balance, continental clock with rose diamond endpiece, striking on gongs when depressing the pendant. Very fine double body case, painted overall with a fine scene depicting Bachus, Venus and two cupids in a landscape, engraved gold bezel. Later white enamel dial with Arabic numerals. Three body gilt silver, slightly later case, glazed on both faces. White enamel dial (slightly chipped) with Breguet numerals. Breguet blued steel hands. On the rear face, a magnificent 3 coloured gold automaton scene applied on a painted enamel back ground: a lady, working on her spinning wheel is sitting by the mantle piece where two chickens diven by a chain linked to a turning squirrel cage run by a dog; the fire is burning in the fire-place and water is pouring from the fountain. Fine very compact gilt brass double train movement with cylindrical pillars, going train with fusee and chain, verge escapement. In good condition. Diam. 60 mm.
