This Extract from the Archive from A. Lange & Söhne, dated September 7, 2000, verifies the authenticity of a silver deck and pocket chronometer with caliber 48, model ALS, movement number 204555, and case number 204555. It was sold to Deutsche Seewarte Hamburg, Gesundbrunnen Branch, on August 31, 1944.
 
The chronometer features a case with an open design, a fineness of 0.900, a «Lucia» case style, a nickel-steel movement, power reserve indicator, and a plexiglass crystal. The watch passed quality control at production stage 3 on March 17, 1944.
