Notes

The A. LANGE & SÖHNE REF. 145.032, ZEITWERK STRIKING TIME is a groundbreaking 44.2mm white gold timepiece, featuring a unique digital time display on a solid silver dial. As the world’s first mechanical wristwatch combining jumping numerals with a visible striking mechanism, it chimes at quarter-hours and hours. The right-hand hammer (4 o’clock) produces a high-pitched tone every15 minutes, while the left-hand hammer (7 o’clock) generates a lower-pitched tone hourly. Powered by the manually wound calibre L043.2 with a 36-hour power reserve, it includes a small seconds subdial and power reserve indicator. The watch showcases A. Lange & Söhne’s innovative approach to traditional complications, with impeccable finishing including a hand-engraved balance cock visible through the sapphire caseback.
