LANGE & SÖHNE REF 712050 TOURBOGRAPH POUR LE MÉRITE HONEY GOLD A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte I/SA., "Tourbograph Pour le Mérite - Hommage to F.A. Lange," movement No. 40076, No. 13/50, case No. 150113, Ref. 712.050. Made in a limited edition of 50 pieces in 2010 commemorating the brand's 165th anniversary. Extremely fine and rare, 18K "honey" gold wristwatch with visible one-minute tourbillon regulator, split second chronograph, registers, 36-hour power reserve and an 18K "honey" gold A. Lange & Söhne buckle. Accompanied by an original fitted box, certificate, and instruction booklet.

Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, curved straight lugs, transparent case back with 6 screws, sapphire crystals. Solid satiné silver with painted Arabic numerals, sunk center with guilloché finish, sunk subsidiary dials for the 30-minute registers and the up and down indication, outer minute track, outer most 1/5th of a second divisions, aperture with polished steel bridge for viewing the tourbillon. Blued steel Alpha hands. Cal. L 903.0, fausses cotes decoration, 43 ruby jewels, power equalization with chain and fusée maintaining power and stepped planetary gearing, tourbillon cage bearing 2 diamond endstones, lateral lever escapement with one-minute tourbillon regulator with equidistant polished steel three-arm carriage, Glucydur balance with screws adjusted to 5 positions, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, hand engraved balance bridge.

Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 41 mm. THICKNESS 15 mm. This impressive timepiece was created for A. LANGE & SÖHNE's 165th anniversary, aptly named "Hommage to F. A. Lange" along with 2 other commemorative models (Lange 1 Tourbillon and 1815 Moonphase). This is the second edition of the Pour le Mérite Series from its predecessor created in 2005. For this special occasion, the brand debuted their in-house gold named "honey" gold. Its light golden hue, warm and distinctly subtle in color, is reminiscent of a patina or a candle-lit reflection on antique silver pieces. Its highly-complicated movement, Cal. 903.0 features a constant-force fusée-chain mechanism often associated with pocket watches (with over 600 parts) ensuring the highest accuracy by achieving constant torque from the mainspring. The one-minute tourbillon with 84 parts also carries a historical design with the use of diamond endstones signifying the top-notch "1A" quality of the piece. It is a phenomenal example inside and out, which is a testament to the brand's commitment to its tradition of excellence and innovation.
