Notes

Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 30 mm. THICKNESS 8 mm. The "World Time" system was invented around 1935 by LOUIS COTTIER (1894-1966), famous independent watchmaker in Geneva. This "World Time" system was used by AGASSIZ and other major manufacturers in the Swiss watch industry, such as PATEK PHILIPPE, ROLEX and VACHERON CONSTANTIN. It is extremely rare to find a well-preserved Agassiz Worldtime piece, especially in pink gold. 14K gold cases were designated for the US Market as shown by the name of the retailer TRABERT & HOEFFER - MAUBOUSSIN on the dial.
