Notes

Brunet, André
Watchmaker active in Geneva in the years 1830-1850. He specialised in the production of flat and extra-flat watches (~ 1.5 mm thick), with special bridge calibres or inverted calibres, known as “Bagnolet”; some with a visible balance. His watches are often decorated with enamel or intaglio engraving, reflecting the production of the time.
An Alexandre Brunet, a watchmaker, is mentioned in Geneva in 1844; perhaps his son.
Museums
· Geneva, Musée de l’horlogerie et de l’émaillerie (watch with secret window).
· La Chaux-de-Fonds, Musée international d’horlogerie (watch with an inverted calibre, known as “Bagnolet”).
