Notes

Jo “So called Seppi” was one of the best known Swiss privateer formula 1 driver starting his career in 1962 with a Lotus-Climax. After joining the Swiss Scuderia Filipinetti he integrated in 1964 the Rob Walker racing team. He continued his successful racing career and won 2 Formula 1 races. His life was cut short when he suffered a tragic accident in 1968 at a non-championship World Championship Victory race at Brands Hatch. Jean Tinguley (1925-1991) is a world renowned Swiss sculptor that produced a number of kinetic art sculptural machines and was married to Niki de Saint Phalle in 1971. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the passing of the legendary Swiss driver that will forever be tied to the world of watches as he became the first ambassador in 1971 of the Heuer brand and would forever be tied to the Heuer reference 1163T that collectors now call the “Siffert”.
