A very fine and elegant, mahogany and gilded bronze, manual wind desk Clock, of vertical rectangular form, this finely crafted key-wound desk clock features an eight-day movement with date indication, striking the hours and half-hours on a bell. The mahogany case is adorned with a hinged and glazed gilt-bronze bezel and a sliding rear panel. The front panel is richly chased in relief with two opposing griffins, and the piece rests on four substantial gilt-bronze ball feet.
