Galerie d’Horlogerie Ancienne & Antiquorum

Antiquorum is an auction house founded in 1974 in Geneva by Osvaldo Patrizzi (b.1945) and Gabriel Tortella (1940-2011). For 47 years now, the company has conducted around 200 auctions, all accompanied by richly illustrated catalogues that today serve as a reference for collectors worldwide and are the basis of every horological library.

These sales took place in Geneva (since October 1974), Hong Kong (since May 1979), New York (December 1981, December 1988, December 1998 to December 2016), Milan (November 1992 to March 1996) and Monaco (since July 2017), and, occasionally in Tokyo (December 1989 and December 1990), St. Moritz (February 1990), Basel (April 1990), Vicenza (January 1992), Zurich (November 2003), and Paris (September 2005).

Amateurs and bibliophiles today classify these books into several distinct series:
· The “Green catalogues”, from October 1974 to April 1987;
· The “Burgundy catalogues”, from October 1987 to May 1990;
· The “Golden Age catalogues”, from October 1990 to June 2000;
· The “Platinum Age catalogues”, from October 2000 to July 2007;
· and the new series which starts in September 2007.
