Notes

The Hatot self-winding system, called “Rolls”, made it possible to adapt a self-winding mechanism to both rectangular wristwatches and small-sized lady’s writswatches. Most often found in gold plated or chromium plated cases, 18K gold cases such as this lot are extremely rare.

Movement based on the French invention patent No. 704 910, delivered on January 11, 1930, to Société Anonyme des Etablissements Léon Hatot, Paris (France), for a “Perfectionnements aux montres dont le remontage est assuré automatiquement par les déplacements et secousses qu'elles subissent, et aux systèmes analogues”.
