Notes

Francesco Bartolozzi (1727–1815)

The Three Fine Arts

Engraving, late 18th century

This engraving by Francesco Bartolozzi, one of the most celebrated engravers of his time, portrays an allegory of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture as three graceful classical female figures. The refined line work and elegant composition reflect Bartolozzi’s mastery and the neoclassical taste of the period.
