So Called ?Grande Complication? Audemars Piguet, ?Grande Complication?, No. 002. Made in 1986. Very fine and very rare, slim, astronomic, 18K yellow gold minute-repeating, keyless dress watch with split-seconds chronograph, register, perpetual calendar, moon phases and lunar calendar.
C. Three-body, ?variée?, polished and brushed stepped curved bezel, brushed band, hinged bow, brushed back with polished edge engraved with the manufacturer?s dedication. D. Satine silvered, applied yellow gold bâton indexes, subsidiary dials for the months, four-year cycle and 30-minute register, days of the week and date, subsidiary seconds with lunar calendar, aperture for the moon-phases. Blued steel ?cathedrale? hands. M. 17''', rhodium-plated, "oeil de perdrix" decoration, 37 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, repeating with two hammers on two gongs activated by a slide in the band. Dial, movement and case signed. Diam. 52 mm.
