"John Shaeffer, No. 5" Audemars Piguet, Genève, "John Shaeffer", "Répétition Minutes Quantième Perpetuel No. 5", movement No. 442819, case No. D 73311. Made in very few examples in the 1990s. Extremely fine and extremely rare, cushion-shaped, astronomic, minute-repeating, platinum gentleman's wristwatch with perpetual calendar, moon phases and a platinum Audemars Piguet buckle.
C. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, transparent case back with 4 screws, polished and brushed bezel, sapphire crystals. D. White with outer minute graduation, subsidiary dials for the days of the month and the months, of the week, the leap year, the phases and the age of the moon. White gold "cathédrale" hands. M. Cal. 2866Q, rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 36 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shockabsorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 34 x 34 mm. Thickness 11 mm.
