Audemars Piguet, Genève, No. 53978, 1950 's. Very fine and rare 18ct yellow and white gold and sapphire gentleman's wristwatch.

C. massive, polished, sapphireset bezel. D. mat silver with indexes + auxiliary seconds dial. "Bâton" gold hands. M. 9 1/2? rhodiumed, "fausses côtes" decoration , 18 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 4 positions, selfcompensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. In very good condition. Diam. 29 mm.
