Notes

Audemars Piguet's ?Star Wheel? watch is reminiscent of the 17th century ?wandering hours? dial, with hours indicated within an aperture. The epicycloidal system was first employed by the Campani brothers of Rome, who used it in their nocturnal clocks during the second half of the 17th century.
