Triple Date and Moon Phases - for Cartier Audemars Piguet, Genève, retailed by Cartier, No. 55900, case No. 2202. Made circa 1950. Very fine and rare, square, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with triple date, lunar calendar, moon phases and an 18K yellow gold Audemars Piguet buckle.
C. Two-body, square, solid, polished and brushed, teardrop lugs, correctors on the band. D. Matte silver with applied yellow gold faceted baton indexes, inner date ring, subsidiary dial for the seconds, apertures for the days of the month, months and moon phases, the age of the moon at the edge. Yellow gold baton hands. M. 9 1/2???, rhodium plated, fausses-côtes decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance with 8 adjustments, self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance-spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 25 x 25 mm. Thickness 8 mm.
