AUDEMARS PIGUET MINUTE REPEATING SPLIT-SECOND CHRONOGRAPH Audemars Piguet & Co., Brassus & Geneve & No. 4280. Made circa 1900. Fine and rare, minute-repeating, 18K pink gold, hunting cased keyless pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph.
C. Four-body, "bassine", polished, inset repeat slide and chronograph buttons to the band, plain hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute and fifths of a second divisions, red Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6. Blued steel spade hands. M. 42 mm., 19"', rhodium-plated, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, adjusted cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, repeating on two coiled steel gongs. Dial and movement signed, case numbered. Diam. 54 mm.
