Arnold's All Stars, After-School Adventures ounded in 1992 after an initial program that began as a promotion of physical fitness in 1990, Arnold's After-School All-Stars has grown over the past 20 years into a nationwide organization. The After-School All-Stars Foundation offers after-school and summer programs to provide support academically and physically to over 81,000 children. In 2006, Audemars Piguet launched a line of 3 different Jules Audemars watches to benefit Arnold's All-Stars. The proceeds, in excess of $1.5 million, were donated to the charity, and Audemars has continued their collaboration with Arnold Schwarzenegger in creating multiple limited edition watches for a total of over $10 million raised. The relationship between Audemars Piguet and Arnold Schwarzenegger is special, if not unique in the industry, as the world-famous actor and politician is not a paid sponsor of the watch brand. Despite this they have worked closely together for over a decade releasing limited edition watches as well as raising money for charity. The relationship grew out of mutual respect after Arnold visited the Audemars Piguet factory located in Le Brassus, Switzerland in 1998. Seeking a suitable watch for his forthcoming role in the 1999 movie ?End of Days? the two collaborated together to create the revolutionary limited edition Royal Oak Offshore ?End of Days? wristwatch. The relationship solidified the subsequent year when Audemars Piguet donated 34 watches signed by celebrities and highlighted by a unique Grande Complication Royal Oak signed by Arnold (lot 351 in this sale) for the first ?Time to Give? charity auction. The event was co-hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Muhammad Ali, raising $1.5 million for the their respective charities, the highest result at the time for a charity watch auction. The relationship continues to remain strong with both the actor and company continuing to collaborate on new projects while simultaneously seeking to raise money for charity.
