Cal. 2003, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 17 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 4 positions, self compensating fl at balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed Audemars Piguet, dial and bracelet signed Cartier, case stamped with Cartier numbers. Dim. 26 x 31 mm. Approx. overall length: 170 mm.

This watch was apparently a gift from famous Hollywood actress and socialite Gloria Vanderbilt to her husband from 1956-1963, Sidney Lumet. Sidney Lumet was a famous television and fi lm director, producer and screenwriter whose work received 14 Ocsar nominations. He directed several cult movies including Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon and Murder on the Orient Express.
