AUDEMARS PIGUET, ROYAL OAK, CITY OF SAILS, LIMITED EDTION OF 50, PLATINUM Audemars Piguet, Genève, ?Royal Oak City of Sails, Automatic?, case No. E 86187, Ref. 25979. Made in a limited edition of 50 examples for the 30th Anniversary of the Royal Oak in 2003 and dedicated to the "Alinghi" team, winner of the America?s Cup, 2003, sold on January 2003. Very fine and rare, large, tonneau-shaped, self-winding, water-resistant, platinum wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, date and a platinum Audemars Piguet deployant clasp on a rubber strap. Accompanied by an Audemars Piguet box and certificate.

C. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, case back with screws, octagonal bezel with 8 hexagonal gold screws, screwed down hexagonal winding-crown and buttons, case back embossed with 2 racing boats, sapphire crystal. D. Silver, checkerboard decoration with luminous radial Arabic numerals, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour (with red Alinghi logo) and 30-minute registers, aperture for the date between 4&5. Luminous white baton hands. M. Cal. 2385, rhodium-plated, oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 37 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating fl at balance spring, 21K gold rotor segment. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 40 mm. Thickness 11 mm.
