C. Four-body, polished with the engraved initial "B" on front cover, stepped convex-concave bezels, gold hinged cuvette over gold bezel glazed for viewing the movement. D. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute/seconds divisions with five minute/seconds Arabic figures, four subsidiary sunk dials for days of the week, date, months of the four-year leap cycle concentric with minute register, and subsidiary seconds with phases of the moon aperture with moon age. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 44 mm(19'''1/2), frosted gilt, 39 jewels, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs, slide on the band.Punched with Dürrstein's mark inside back cover.Diam. 56 mm.

Dürrstein & Co.One of the most important clients of Audemars Piguet in Germany. Some of Audemars Piguet's most complicated watches were sold to Dürrstein. Their relationship began in 1895 and the "most complicated German watch ever made" which was advertised for years by Dürrstein had an Audemars Piguet movement. Audemars Piguet specialized in manufacturing complicated movements. Their reputation was so great that the best watch companies in the world - companies such as Patek Philippe, Breguet, Cartier, Frodsam, and others - bought their movements, cased them, and sold the complete watches as their own.
