Produced in a limited edition of 50 examples in the 1990's for the 125th anniversary of Audemars Piguet.Very fine and unusual, horizontal oval, self-winding, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with date and 38 hours autonomy, inspired by one of the most important inventions of the 18th century, "The Aperture Watch". Accompanied by a box andcertificate.

D. navy blue and white, the hour graduations on three translucent sapphire discs, each with four painted blue stylized hour indicators, on the right, white sector indicating the 59 minutes in painted Arabic numerals and indexes, at the center, a rhodium-plated wheel with three equidistant arms, carrying the spring-loaded rotating star wheel sapphire discs.M. Cal.2224, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 35 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring, 21K gold rotor segment.Dial, case and movement signed.
