Notes

This watch is published in Audemars Piguet, by G. L. Brunner, Chr. Pfeiffer-Belli and M. K. Wehrli, 1993 Edition, p. 238,fig. 328 a-b.As with lot 511 we know of no other Audemars Piguet chronographs where the stop, start and fly-back functions are controlled by the crown. From the manufacturer's registers it is unclear whether this is a unique example or one of the few pieces. As illustrated in the book, Audemars Piguet, this is the first generation of chronographs produced by the region of Brassus.
