Audemars Piguet, No. 14828, made for Gübelin, Lucerne, 1912.Very fine, 18K gold and enamel Art Deco 'Grande Complication', keyless minute-repeating, astronomical watch with perpetual calendar and moonphases, split-seconds chronograph and progressive 60 minute recorder.

C. three body, solid, 'demi-bassine', bezels in black enamel geometrical pattern. D. matte silver, with Arabic numerals, outer minute and chronograph ring, subsidiary dials for days of the week, months of the leap year cycle with outer minute register, the date and seconds with inner moon-phase aperture, 'Breguet' blued steel hands. M. 18''', rhodium plated, 'fausses côtes' decoration, 35 jewels, counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance sring with swan neck micrometric regulator, chronograph and split mechanism set on the back plate, repeating on gongs with slide in the band.Stamped on the movement, dial, movement and case signed Gübelin.Diam. 48 mm.

In 1912 Gübelin ordered a small series of Grande Complication from Audemars. The watch with the predeceasing serial number 14827, identical to this one, is described and illustrated in Audemars Piguet by Gisbert L. Brunner, Christian Pfeiffer-Belli, Martin K. Wehrli, München, 1993, English Edition, pp 154, 155
